Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has finally released the list for foreign based for Tanzania clash and there were a few surprises and noticeably absent faces. One of whom is Dubai-based Emmanuel Emenike – who doesn’t feature in a top league despite his great form. 17 other overseas-based professionals were selected for next month’s AFCON qualifier in Tanzania.

During the weekend, the forward scored a brace to help Al Ain win the UAE Super Cup, but this will not douse the debate will be sure to follow on whether he should have been invited or not.
Familiar faces like captain Vincent Enyeama, Kenneth Omeruo, Rabiu Ibrahim, Lukman Haruna, Joel Obi, Ahmed Musa and Anthony Ujah are also on the squad.
However, there are a number of surprises, in line with Oliseh’s earlier pledge to make current form and first –level football key indices for selection.
There are Wolves of England goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, midfielder Izunna Ernest Uzochukwu and forwards Emem Eduok, Sylvester Igboun and Moses Simon.
All the 18 players, who will join up with the 23 home boys, who arrived camp in Abuja on Monday, are expected in Abuja on Monday, 31st August, 2015 at the latest.
